Dark Nights and Snow

We got snow tonight?! And not just a bit of snow! It has settled and is about 3″ deep! In October!! I went into the garden with Morph and we were playing in the snow when Morph decided he was going to try and catch every single snowflake that fell into the garden. It didn’t work too well so he settled on tearing apart the snowman I was making! Anyway I got a few pictures of him hard at play…

I’m hoping it will be gone by tomorrow so I don’t have to walk to work/drive to work in the snow! But it doesn’t appear to be showing any signs of slowing down soon! :-|

Also, I can’t believe how early it is getting dark…I know it happens every year but I’m sure it seems to be getting ridiculously dark ridiculously early for October! Bah!

Thanks to everyone for your get well messages, I was quite ill but am feeling much better now :-]

Hope everyone is well!

PhotoFunia & Traumatic Times for Morph

Lora from It’s the Dogs Life told us about PhotoFunia and it’s HILARIOUS!!! Got some really funny pics so thought we’d share a few…

Those cats love Morph really ;-]

And so does everyone else by the look of this pic!

Lol this one makes me laugh too.

Anyway enough of those, in Morph news he had a bit of a traumatic evening yesterday. He was playing football outside last night with my Dad and started limping, so he came in and came over to me and got straight on my lap. He NEVER climbs up on my lap unless he is hurt! I was checking all his paws and claws when I noticed a huge round stone was wedged in between his pads. Ouch! I got it out and he was fine after that bless him. He did milk it all night though!

Meet Mr Happy!

This is Morph’s new best friend:

He is a bright yellow squeaky circle with rope arms, legs and even hair!

Morph loves him, even if he may not look like it in this particular picture! Well I had Friday off last week so Morph got to go on 3 long walks over the wet, windy and freezing weekend. He wore his posh coat and his waterproof coat – neither of which lasted the whole walk as 1) he decided to run through the muddiest puddles he could find and 2) he decided to run through the long grass and get the coat covered in these little spikey ball things (no idea what their name is!) So I think the hunt is on for a new coat, I want one with no velcro preferably but it’s hard buying online so I may need to pop into a few pet shops to look for one! It seems as though Winter is finally upon us :-[

Oh and just a quick thank you to our friends at Park and Bark Awhile and Ludo, Ludwig van Puppy for the fab awards they have given us:

We have tried, but there are too many great blogs on our blogroll to pick out just 5 favourites so we decided to pass the awards on to the newest addition to our blogroll....Biggie Z! We love reading Biggie's blog :-]

I hope you are all planning your halloween costumes, Morph has his ready already haha.

That’s all for now!

Stay tuned!

Catching the last of the sunshine!

Well…I promised Morph that I’d take him back there when I got back from holiday and I did! Tonight after work, I drove up to our favourite place in a rush to catch the last of today’s sunshine (it has already started to get dark early, grr!) My hope was to get some shots to enter in the Ruffdogs Calender but because the sun was so low and bright, it was just making Morph glow! I did get a few nice pics though, so I may still enter one!

Here goes!

Morph walked up to the field with his hackles raised and on the lookout for something…30 seconds later I spotted this big fella:

He was huge and had massive antlers, he ran off before I could get closer or get a clearer pic! Saw loads more deer but most of the pics are too dark as they were in the woods.

Looking gorgeous in the evening sunshine! Click the pics to see full size :]

This sort of sunlight can make Morph look a really lovely rich colour, or glow a horrible gold colour, this is the nice one though!

Wubba love!! Love this pic :]

Spot the Morph…

Not a great pic, but you can see his body shape and how lovely and slim he looks now!

Love this pic too ;-]

Didn’t think this pic would come out too well, but it’s not too bad!

About 5 minutes after this pic the sun went down behind the trees and it got so freezing!! We played some more wubba for a bit and then came home. Morph loved it, you could tell he hadn’t been on such an exciting walk for a while, he was off in his own little world for half of the walk!

Thanks for all your comments welcoming me back and yes, Morph DID wiggle out of his body when I got home! I still don’t think he has come to terms with it as he is still getting so excited when I come home from work everyday!

Anyway that’s all for now folks, check back soon!

Emily & Morph

P.s – If you think we should enter any of the above pics in the Autumn section of the calender, please let me know which pic/s you like! Thanks :]

I’m Back!

I got back in the early hours of this morning to a very over excited and happy Morph! I will be posting some piccies etc up in the next few days but I did have a great time and enjoyed the break and lovely weather in the Canary Islands!

How can I leave him?!

This was Morph’s reaction to me packing my suitcase….!

Believe me, I would take him if I could! I am going to explain to him tonight that I will be going away for 2 weeks!

Anyway it is just a quick post to say goodbye and we shall be back blogging in 2 weeks time – don’t miss us too much!

:)

Vets!

It’s okay before you start to panic…it was a planned visit to the V…E…T today! Morph has his booster jab and check up today. He’s not the biggest fan on the vet surgery so we always put his muzzle on whilst he is getting looked at/injections because he turns in to a grumpy old man! But the vet was still very nice to him! He was weighed on the proper scales and he is now weighing at around 17.80kg which is faaaabbbby. He also took a look at his paw that he damaged 2 years ago and said it is sticking up because of something to do with one of the tendons…but he said it shouldn’t be causing him any problems or anything – phew! He gave him a quick checkover and listened to his heart and everything is fine, so the all clear there! Then he had his jab which he grumbled the most about but was happy to get his muzzle off when it was all over and done with – then he made a mad dash for the door!!

Nothing else really to report on, we went back to our most favourite place in the world to go w.a.l.k.i.e.s twice at the weekend as a special treat because I am going on holiday for 2 weeks on Saturday so he won’t be going there for a while. I am planning on breaking the news to him on Friday… :(

Another Sunday…

We were pleasantly surprised by the good weather (so far) this weekend! It is pretty unusual to have good weather on a Bank Holiday weekend for us Brits! We ventured up to our favourite walkies place yesterday and Morph found his old favourite muddy puddle…not only did he go in there for a paddle and drink but he lay down in the middle of it too! I almost left him there he was so muddy!! We were there for a good few hours and we were both knackered when we got home.

We have currently got a ‘Ruff Pups’ Photo Competition running on Ruffdogs and are at the voting stage, there are some totally cute puppies on there, so go and have a look – here!

If you haven’t already heard ‘The Chai Story’ please, please go here to read it – I strongly reccomend all dog owners to read it as it warns us of a dangerous toy and Morph actually had one…your dog could too…

Anyway that’s all for now!

I Remembered The Camera!

We went back to our new favourite walkies place yesterday and I remembered the camera, yay! I got some really good shots that I am quite proud of :)

First of all here is my attempt of using the Stitch Assist…I know…I need practise on this function! But you can sort of get the idea of how HUGE this place is… (click all pics for full size view)

Note that Morph is there twice lol, I don’t have two of him really!

Anyway here are some of the pics I took – the rest can be found here on Ruffdogs.

Morph flying through the field:

Smiley boy:

Typical Morph finds the only muddy puddle in this massive field to get dirty in *rollseyes*

Morph <3 his Wubba!

Poser…you should have seen me lying on the floor to get this pic!

Batdog!

Today Morph has had a busy day helping my Mum to rip down the wallpaper in our hall way…!
