Mister Morph went to the vets today to have his claw looked at and also have his booster. Our vets is currently having building work done so they are in temporary cabins at the moment and we also have a temporary vet and she is LOVELY! She has helped us work with Morph’s grumpiness/fear at the vets and he was a different dog today, so HOORAY for nice vets! The update on his claw was that it would be best to leave it and it will come off naturally – also she suggested that we get some Biotin as a supplement for his nails as this is the 2nd one in the past month or so to go like this. It was quite a relief as I was worried it may be something serious! He was a very good boy and only had to be muzzled 10 seconds while he had his jab as opposed to when he used to be muzzled the entire time we were in the room before. So HOORAY AGAIN for nice vets!

We also had a quick chat about fireworks and she gave us some suggestions about what we could do, so I will be working with him to try and make the firework noise a positive thing rather than something to hide away from. Will keep you updated on the progress.

Today was my first day back at work and was very, very busy! I met my Mum with Morph at the vets after work so after the vet I took Morph for a quick spin round the park ,with his lovely new bally on a rope I brought him today…and guess what? Yep it got stuck in a tree! I think I am destined to stick to tennis balls! Between Morph and I we must have lost about 20 bally on a ropes this year in trees or at the bottom of the river. D’oh!

Anyway, best be off as someone is sniffing around for their dinner!

Wow! I can’t believe just how fast this year has gone and I know I have done a bad job of keeping our blog updated, whoops! I am going to try to keep the updates coming now and post the odd video etc, so hopefully it will be something interesting that people want to read!

I am currently recovering from a horrible tummy bug I caught and my whole family got it too. Have just been out on a walk with Morph for the first time in 3 days and it has tired me out!

Morph has a poorly claw at the moment, I am not 100% sure what is wrong with it but the same thing happened several weeks ago with a different claw. Basically the claw is really brittle and is just breaking off…the other one completley broke off right up to his quick but is now growing back. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know or I could post a pic?

Better go as the window cleaners are arriving!

Hi everyone, sorry it’s been so long since the last post, I lost my log-in details, then changed my e-mail address and couldn’t log in and argh it’s all been rather confusing! But we are back in the blogging world again now and thanks to Lindsay for asking after us!

Hope all of our fellow bloggers are well and have been having fun! We have been busy busy busy. Have been having lots of fun walks to our favourite place and now the evenings are finally getting lighter have been able to take advantage of that which is great! Although we have had the odd few days of sunshine, it is still very much April Showers at the moment, we don’t know what to wear one day to the next though it changes so often!

Morph has been getting excited every Sunday when I arrive home smelling of something he can’t quite put his paws on and covered in ginger hair that does not belong to him! No I haven’t joined a weird cult but I have started horse riding again and have been going for the last few months :)

We promise we will keep you posted on our adventures from now on but in the meantime here is a pic of Morph enjoying the snow we had in February… <3

This pic was taken in 2007 on my phone…Morph was playing silly buggers on my bed and I managed to get him to hold the pose long enough to get a pic! When he gets the zoomies he runs back and forwards and top speed from downstairs on to my bed and the play bows and as soon as anyone moves he zooms back downstairs and does the same thing! It is quite funny to watch but it makes me cringe when he runs down the stairs so I always stop him…(I know spoilsport!) But yeah that’s the description of this pic :)

We have had a good weekend for walkies, we’ve been to our favourite place two days in a row and had some seriously fun frisbee action! But yesterday it had to be done…the dreaded ‘B’ word! B…A…T…H!

I have to admit it has been a while since his last one and he did not enjoy it at all! He had serious zoomies as soon as he got out, he does this thing where he wiggles his bottom when he is wet it is sooo cute! We made  peace after though via a bonio haha and now he is smelly looovvveeerrrlly!!

Well, as it was lovely  and sunny (but don’t worry…still freezing!) this morning I decided to take the camera with us on our walk today. We went to our well known favourite walkies place armed with Morph’s favourite Frisbee, from his fantastic Secret Santa!

Yesterday we did some freetime with the clicker which we haven’t done for ages and I managed to build his ‘bow’ up and he can now do it on command from a distance and without guidance, woo!! Also began to work on some close heelwork just for fun which he was really picking up *note to self, must freetime more often!!*

Anyway, that’s all for now, it’s still sunny outside so we better make the most of it!

Well, welcome to 2009 everyone and yes I know, we have been bad bloggers! What with Christmas, New Year and  my Birthday (last Weds) I have hardly had time to stop and sit down to blog! But things are getting back to normal now (unfortunately!) and we are back to blogging land!

So…Christmas first!

Here is Morph opening up his Secret Santa pressie:

He got so excited when he saw the Santa toy, he wouldn’t put it down!

He also got a fancy frisbee, you can see half of it in the pic above and he absolutely LOVES it! We took it out on our walkies today and I am getting better at throwing it, at first he didn’t even bother chasing it because my throwing was so poor!

Also, we had snow this week and it didn’t seem to want to go anywhere, it stuck around for about 4-5 days! Here is Morph posing with a snowman I made on our walkies:

Also, we drove past a new-ish riding school that has opened in our town and just happened to see an A-Frame and dog walk through the bushes so I’m going to  give them a call and see if they do agility training there and if they do hopefully we can see about getting started there.

Anyway, we hope everyone had a fab Christmas and New Year and hope you are still all reading our blog even though we disappeared for a while!

Today we went on a very, very wet walk. Morph didn’t even mind having his raincoat on today so that just goes to show how wet it was! I am still on the hunt for a decent coat with no velcro if anyone can reccomend any? I know I have seen some in the past that are more like horse rugs-style and they have like straps that sort of wrap around the body and can be adjusted length wise. Please do let me know if you have any recommendations for us!

Anyway, so on our wet walk we were playing with Morph’s bally on a rope which is exactly the same as this:

We had a few near misses where I threw it one way and Morph shot of in the complete other direction, but thanks to his ‘find it’ command we didn’t lose it. I saw another dog walking behind us so I called him over to play tuggy and keep him close to me, so he grabbed hold of the ball and we had a good game. Then he ran off waiting for me to throw it…so I called him back to play tuggy again and he grabbed hold of the ball and ran off with it in his mouth. I was a bit confused…I looked down and I still had the rope in my hand. Huh? Oh dear…the bally on a rope now looked somewhat like this:

Morph didn’t get it at first, but of course only wanted the part that I had so we spent the rest of the walk playing with a ‘tiny bit of rubber on a rope’ instead of a ‘bally on a rope!’ Said toy has now been binned and a replacement shall be brought tomorrow, but it did last a long time but unfortunatley not all of our toys can stay with us forever. Rest in peace old friend bally on a rope!

Today we went to one of our old favourite walkies place…I took the camera so I could get some piccies to share :)

Wheee, frisbee!

Literally 30 seconds after I took this pic it started to absolutley p*ss down with rain!! I was soooo annoyed, so put away the camera and we went on our way through the woods. Luckily about 30 minutes later it stopped…Morph was not impressed with the rain!

Then we found a lovely sun trap, so got a couple more piccies before the rain started again!

Luckily we managed to get back to the car before it rained again, but Morph was still absolutley covered in mud! Before we went out we also did about 25 mins training, haven’t done any for a while but Morph loved it and still remembers everything. I might look into going back to training after Christmas time. So after all that both of us are pretty knackered…Morph is currently snuggled up under his blanket on my bed snoring away!

P.s…31 days to go, argh!!

Well here we are in November and already half way through! (Only 38 days until Christmas, ahhh!) Poor Morph hated the last few weeks as there were loads of fireworks going off and we even had some going off last night too, grrr! We gave him some rescue remedy and that seemed to settle him for when I’m not here, but he’s fine if I am with him bless him.

I haven’t been taking Morph out so much lately firstly due to the dark nights and secondly as my Mum has been off work so has been taking him out during the day. Although today and yesterday we went to our favourite walkies place as we hadn’t been for a while!  Today we got soaking wet and I made Morph a dressing gown out of his aquamat for the journey home lol…don’t think he was too impressed.

Oh – the Ruffdogs calender is now finished and ready to order here! I am excited to get my copy to see how it has all come out!

Right now Morph is half asleep on my bed and watching Beethovens 4th – the gorgeous Saint reminds us of Lora’s lovely duo!
